I was complaining about this earlier. We had a girls night dinner out a couple days ago. Of the 8 girls there, four were pregnant, two were trying, and one had
recently had a baby. For fuck's sake! The entire dinner conversation consisted of bumper pads, birthing plans, bottle debates, comparisons of pain.... God.
I entertained myself by creating a drinking game, where I had to drink every time someone said the words "baby" or "pregnancy."
I was pretty gone by the end of the night, and completely and utterly OVER any and all things baby. |

Pretty much all the girls I graduated HS with are pregnant/have kids already.
I graduated in 2006. |

I'm just sick of hearing about it because we're not trying again yet. And it's pissing me off. People who didn't even want to be pregnant are
pregnant now. And yeah.. I can't do girls nights with them anymore because it's ALL that's talked about.

Make sure you remember not to make it all you talk about. Believe it or not, your friends - while they may love you to death - actually want to talk about
things other than what brand of diaper you want and how tired you are from time to time.

Everyone I went to high school is...well not everyone, but at least 80%. It was 6 years ago. They act so happy...I'm just sitting back wondering why they
gave up their selfish opportunities before they even had them.
I mean, say we live until 75...You graduate high school at 18, graduate college at 22/23, and then your life starts where you can get your own place, etc. There are 52 years of life left. You really want to write off your youth from 23-mid 40s to have a kid? You'll be 40 & wonder where your life went. Sure, you can still travel & stuff, but it's not the same because you'll be old with responsiblities. I don't want kids, but if I did, I'd push it off as long as possible. I'm sure all the young moms will post here & say they disagree. I just can't imagine it in a country where everyone wants to look youthful forever. |
