My grandfather died last night and so everyone is coming from everywhere to go comfort my grandmother. They're all staying for a few days but I'm
hesitant to call out of work because I get holiday pay AND time and a half tomorrow. I don't necessarily want to work, but I don't want to pass up
essentially a $100 bonus either.
I am so selfish.

how long do you have to work? do you live near by? not a big deal if you go by your grandma after work/this weekend

I'm driving home (an hour) today to spend the rest of the afternoon but that'd be it. I have to work the rest of the weekend. I know they'd give me
the time off if I asked, but I don't want to.

I don't think it's selfish as long as you do spend sometime with her. When my grandfather passed I took like one day off but working helped me deal
with it
