He's a turkish angora and has really long hair that tends to knot, we've had him almost 9 years now and have never really had an issue with it but for some reason even though we've been brushing him he's grown these two matts on his back/hip area and we've been trying to cut them out every day but they're too close to the skin so it's been really difficult. Anyway, someone at work lent me an old men's hair clipper and we tried shaving them off today.. apparently it's not as quick as we thought it was and we only removed half of one before he FLIPPED the hell out and started screaming bloody murder and acting like we were killing him.

I left him along for a few hours and then saw he was in a good mood while he was chowing down on some dry food so I tried trimming some more with a scissor while he was eating and he tolerated it for a little while and eventually turned into demonic cat again and scared the crap out of me again. image I really wish he could understand I'm trying to help!
