So lame, but I was SO into show choir back in the day. I was in it for 3 years in high school and loved every second. Probably because my group won just about
every competition we went to, I'm sure if I'm group had sucked I wouldn't have enjoyed it as much.

It was only 16 people...8 guys and 8 girls from the whole music department. I was so proud when I made it. |

Our show choir did pop tunes, but also did Broadway medleys, with costumes and everything.
I was also in madrigal choir, as well as regular choir. |

I was always in choir and drama and I would ALWAYS prefer choir kids compared to actor kids.

I was in showchoir and the chamber choir all four years. LOVED it. Our showchoir didn't start competing till my junior year but we never won anything. My
teacher was a bit of a procrastinator so we never got much done but it was a blast. I'm still friends with most of those people.

I was in show choir in high school but since it was a catholic school that was also a little snobby when it came to a lot of current fun things. We were only
allowed to do show tunes from musicals like The Sound of Music, A lot of Disney theme related musicals. I do recall one of our teachers trying to convince
the school to let us do some tunes from " Grease" they weren't having it. I ended up quitting it anyway because I also was a cheerleader and
ended up quitting that too.

I did a couple shows but mainly musicals. It was so funny because every play would have the same kids in them, and then a musical would come around and all the choir kids would try out and end up being the leads. |

I was in choir for 2 years but didn't make it into the Junior/Senior Concert Choir. They won EVERYTHING. They go to Chicago every other year for a music
competition and they had to quit competing because they always won but they still continue to go just to sing.
When my sister was in it they performed in front of Al Gore when he was VP at the JFK Center, I think. I'm still sad I didn't get in. |

I was, too; I enjoyed it...but I never knew there were competitions until we went to watch one of my freshman year roommate's old show choir perform in
one; they definitely get into it!
Our school had a cappella choir as the highest...I miss it, though my college is apparently starting one, so I may look into it. |
