Yeah, because it'd be my best friend asking me to do it. And I'd do anything for her.

Sure. There's always the possibility you're wrong so you should support your friend.

Yes. I was a bridesmaid in a wedding I'm SURE will not last. She's my friend and it's up to her to make her own decisions/mistakes.

I have said no to my sister...I would not stand next to the train wreck waiting to happen. I couldnt. It was hard, my family was pissed....But it turned out to
be her abusive husband, ex-husband and husband again.

I was. I was respecting my friend's decision when other people had raised concerns. It's lasted a couple years and seems to be going well, so I guess I
was wrong...

Depend on who was asking. If I'm that close to them I will swallow it and just be there to support her. If it's somebody who's only asking out of
courtesy I'll make my excuses.

I have been a bridesmaid/MOH 4 times, and the only marriage that is still standing is my BFF. I'm like the bridesmaid kiss of death!

I was in a wedding that I was friends with both the bride and the groom, so I was involved in all their shit, and I didn't think they were ready yet.

I said yes to my sister to be her MOH but I hated the guy she was marrying and so did my family but we loved her and didn't want to make her day sad
because of our feelings. She divorced him a few years later and is now married to a fantastic guy that we all adore.

Yes. Because you're not doing it for yourself, you're doing it for someone else. Your thoughts and opinions should have nothing to do with any of it.

I guess it would depend on the situation. If they had a rocky relationship or I didn't personally like the guy, I would probably suck it up and do it.
However, if the guy was abusive or a drug addict, then no, I don't think I could .
