OOH, new thread.
I'm really not liking the newness of this season so far though. Nope.
That Heatley trade was reported twice on a bunch of stations, but now he's refused it? Such a little bitch. Sens cater to him for a longterm deal. Demands a trade. Lowers his value given the bonus. Refuses the trade. Sens should just leave his ass to rot. |

Granted it's a little prima donna of him to refuse to waive the NMC, I'm glad he didn't go to the Oilers. I enjoy watching Heater and really
wasn't looking forward to suffering through Oiler games.

And just one of those random things I like to point out every so often... Tyler Sloan of the Caps is a UFA. I think the Devils should buy him.

Curious to see what the Rangers do today after getting some cap room yesterday.

Just under $26M cap space for the Habs. Atleast three vacant roster spots atm assuming we re-sign our RFA's. I've learnt not to get too excited.
Koivu hasn't even received an offer from the team he's captained and left everything on the ice for for the last 10+ years. This too is just scoring so many points for Gainey with me lately. my new fave smilie
In the meantime, camp roster the USA olympic team: Goaltenders: Ryan Miller, Jonathan Quick, Tim Thomas Defencemen: Tom Gilbert, Tim Gleason, Ron Hainsey, Erik Johnson, Jack Johnson, Mike Komisarek, Paul Martin, Brooks Orpik, Brian Rafalski, Rob Scuderi, Ryan Suter, Ryan Whitney Forwards: David Backes, David Booth, Dustin Brown, Dustin Byfuglien, Ryan Callahan, Chris Drury, Scott Gomez, Patrick Kane, Ryan Kesler, Phil Kessel, Jamie Langenbrunner, Ryan Malone, Mike Modano, Kyle Okposo, T.J. Oshie, Zach Parise, Joe Pavelski, Bobby Ryan, Paul Stastny

He actually did a service to the team for once. And just one of those random things I like to point out every so often... Tyler Sloan of the Caps is a UFA. OK, I'm getting antsy. I hate being at work when I know massive fun will go down.
Did I mention I'm ecstatic Gomez got kicked out of town? It's sooooo nice to know we're not stuck with him for the next 5 years. I barely survived the 2 years he was here. |

Yay. Yay. Yay! But then you'll have to adopt a new Cap pet! I'm sure I'll find one. Haha. OK, I'm getting antsy Me too! I nearly killed my friend for feeding me some falso information earlier when I just woke up. |

All right. Back to hating Sather. I knew he was going to make me angry today! He signed Brashear. FFS.
Edit. Ummm, 2 years, $1.4M per? Why couldn't we just keep Orr?

Dang, NY girls, just when it's looking good...
No shocker Hossa didn't resign with the Wings. 12 years--seriously? He's kind of old for a deal like that IMO. I'm actually pretty glad Kopecky is gone. He never impressed me and I used to get annoyed he got a lot of chances and some of the younger players that were obviously better didn't. |

More updates:
Mike Knuble signs with Washington: 2 years, $5.6M Scott Niedermayer re-signs with Anaheim: 1 year, $6M Aaron Rome signs with Vancouver: 1 year, $550K Joel Ward re-signs with Nashville: 2 years, $3M |

The length on that Hossa deal is loco but the cap hit is definitely reasonable for the player he is.
Hmm, Spacek. Old. Small side. PLEASE let him come to close to equalizing the 45 points he had last season. Saku leaving is becoming more and more realistic and it's breaking my heart. To leave without even having an offer.... ugh
Oilers signed the Bulin Wall |
