My mom's really close friends I called them by their first name. My grandma's friends I called them by their last name because they were so much older.

It was dependent on what they told me to call them. I would call them Mr/Mrs So-n-so until I was told by them to call them otherwise.

When I was a kid, we always called the parents Mr or Mrs Whatever. But when my kids were very little, my neighbor and I decided that the kids would call us by
our first names. So on our little street, everyone (kids and adults) has always been on first-name terms.
I hate being called Mrs Parley (I never use the term Mrs for myself...ugh!) so I've always told my kids' friends to call my husband and me by our first names. The kids have always gotten a kick out of this. I wasn't trying to be cool or kid-friendly--I'm just more comfortable being called by my first name. |

i felt more comfortable calling them "mrs/mr___" but some insisted on being called by their first name and others were ok with me calling them mom or
dad

I'm Chinese, soo I was required to call them "yee yee" or "soke soke", regardless of what race the other parents are. I know, it's
weird.

First names, for the most part. I think I've only ever had two friends in my life whose parents I called Mr/Mrs and that was because one didn't'
allow anyone to call them by their first names (no idea why) and other other was a teacher at my elementary school so I was just used to calling her Mrs. ___.
My parents have always gone by first names too and correct anyone who calls them Mr/Mrs

I always called my friend's parents by their first name. Saying Mr. or Mrs. felt very impersonal.
