Do you consider Janet Jackson to be a huge icon?

Listen to Janet during Scream. She's not wailing or blowing, but she definitely had a ferociousness to her singing that's sadly absent from her last
several albums. She's so half-assed with everything anymore.
She could have a hit if she got that fire back.

I blame JD! I've always thought great dancers have great footwork and there's no doubt Janet and Michael had great footwork, idkaboutbjsparkles, hand
movements galore.
Look at my Janet bb!!!!!!!! |

She is back with Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis now. I hope they lock the studio door on JD. I like the work JD did on "The Emancipation of Mimi" but with
Janet his songs are just okay.

ImFreakinTired69 wrote:Definitely. As far as this Jennifer vs. Janet thing...Janet employed her at one point, so I mean...I don't think Jennifer has shown so much of her dancing skill during her career, but I guess she has acted more anyway. All I know of Jen was that Flygurl dancing back in the day. |

She is a super star outside United States. When she was at her high no female sold records like Britney. She may dont deserve all taht sucess or dont be as talented as Janet Jackson but I can tell you she is much more famous around the world. Her songs always go straight to the top, even after her scandalous

I've stuck with Janet through these past blah albums (Damita Jo was the last one I liked a lot!), and YES she is most definitely an icon.

I think only a few artists have managed icon status from the 80s. Michael, Prince, Madonna, Janet and Whitney. All of them soared above anyone else in
popularity. Janet Jackson wrote the book on dancing, too. Well, her and Michael both.

Janet's
performances KILL every performance JLo has ever done.
