No, but I'm very selective with terms like "icon."

Michael Jackson didn't need a damn MTV special. He threw his own tribute concert!

I feel like I should be laughing at this...and I am. Britney is lucky Janet exists and Janet is a much better dancer than Madonna, singer too. |

YES!!!!!!!!!!!!! All day; everyday. There's only two icons in my book. One male (MJ) and the other female (Janet). I've been a fan of hers since I was
5. Love that woman!!
Britney's shows are basically copycats of Janet. When I look at her dance routines, I see Janet. Most of the female artists out there (r&b/pop) copy Janet.

I don't think she's a huge icon. I mean, she's definitely accomplished a lot and is very famous, but not in an iconic way.

Michael was in a league of his own back in the day but Janet has earned her Icon status fair and square, she never depended on the name Jackson.

oh hell yes. design of a decade is one of the only cds i can put on from beginning to end and have everybody dancing and smiling the whole time. an artist who
has control, rhythm nation 1814, janet, all for you and the velvet rope under her belt is most def an icon.
if she had retired in 1989 after rhythm nation 1814 she'd probably be a bigger icon than many of today's artists. and she's had 6 cds since then.
