Would going to Maine be a very boring vacation? I live in New Jersey and I'm not into camping so staying inland would be out right? I really just want
to eat a bunch of lobster
I went on the website for Maine and I am have trouble figuring out which region of Maine would be best for me...any suggestions? It would just be my boyfriend
and I for like either 3 nights/4 days or 4 nights/5 days.
TIA

Kennebunkport or Ogunquit. My grandmother has a beach house in Wells, which is near both, and the area is really nice -- and it's not backwoods Maine,
which is important to me.
Boothbay Harbor is cute also, but that is further north. I would definitely recommend it, it's one of my favorite things to do in the summers and I am a total girly girl and also hate camping. |

I think it would be a cute couples vacation type thing. I'm pretty familiar with the York, Kennebunk, Wells area in southern Maine.

ETA: I know about the lobster but I feel like I always hear things about Maine's lobster and like rocky beaches or something or another |

I don't know how good any of these websites are but this is the area I mean:
http://www.visit-maine.com/southcoast.html http://www.etravelmaine.com/regions/southern_coast.htm http://www.mainevacations.net/vscoast.htm I think the seafood is better near the coast. It could just be me. |
