Do you have any suggestions for websites to look at that have comprehensive info on schools? I graduated last year, so I can't just go to an advisor or
something for information or help, and I'm really overwhelmed at the amount of websites out there.
People who have been to law school, I need help.

I think I looked to US News and World Reports to see what range I was in (LSAT, GPA) and how it matched up to different schools. I can't remember what
else. There was a site that had a pretty active message board about schools.. and the social life and visits of other prospective students but I can't
remember what it was. However, after going I think that second site was pretty BS and most of the people posting were pompous assholes.

You can't elaborate on it really. I mean.. as someone who has been there I'd say you should only go if you really want to be a lawyer. Its really
stressful and its a lot more hard work than I imagined before I went. I don't know if the poster above would say the same thing but I bet she probably
would.

99thdegree wrote:Exactly. You must really want to be a lawyer. Law school was sooo stressful.. a lot of pressure....a lot. I can't tell you the number of times I wanted to quit my first year. With that said, I would not change anything. If it's what you truly want to do, I say go for it. I just graduated May 15th and now I'm studying for the Georgia Bar Exam. |

princetonreview.com has a lot of info, just a little hard to navigate.

I've just been really depressed at my job prospects lately, not being able to find anything full-time since I graduated, and not really interested in the
stuff I do find. I enjoyed the couple of law classes I took in undergrad, and I figure I'm smart, I should be using my brain for some greater good. Or
something.
But I guess I have three months to change my mind until the next LSAT anyway. |

I'm in the same boat. I have been doing the research, but my one lawyer friend isn't helping matters since she just up and quit. Realized after 5 years
she didn't really want to be a lawyer. I wouldn't even know where to start if that happened to me. So I am waiting it out, ha.

And I'm not going to like, the possibility of actually making good money may be one of my motivating factors. That's bad, right?
