and keeps calling me leaving messages. I reported him to his probation officer, and I've been instructed to not answer the phone, but now my phone is going
to be ringing constantly, day and night, til they catch him again.
Shit.

It's my home phone, so not as big a deal as it could be if he were to catch my cell phone.
He just blew his cover though by calling from his DAD's phone, so now they're both going to get in trouble. The student has been ordered by a judge to not contact ANYONE associated with a school (teachers, admin, students) by any sort of communication device, and he just blew it. The PO was very excited to hear from me, as she hasn't been able to get ahold of either the dad or the kid for weeks.

So many teachers I know give out their home/cell numbers at the beginning of the year to parents. I don't. Who knows what hands it falls in. I don't
want harassing calls!

Kelli, probably neither. He just likes to cause trouble by any means possible. I'm more concerned that since he got my number, he probably knows where I
live. Good thing it's 30 miles away from him, otherwise I'm pretty sure he'd be camped outside my door.

If he lived closer, I'd be more concerned. But he lives 30 miles away with no means of traveling over here (I live in a large city). If he gets here,
somehow, I'll deal with it then.
In the first message he said, "Hi, Ms. S., it's T. I'll call you back later, talk to you later, bye." The second said, "It's me again, I'll just call you later, bye." The calls were 5 minutes apart.

What kind of relationship did the two of you have when he was your student?
Not in a creepy 'hot for teacher' kind of way, I just mean did you tutor him, give him extra help, etc.? Why you specifically and not other teachers? Did you ever feel like he was attracted to you? |

Bella, it was basically just excessive harrassment, coupled with the fact that he was expelled. He's in all kinds of trouble for things outside of school,
too.
CourtneyLove1, I was just his teacher -- nothing that would single me out. I teach in a special school for children with severe behavioral/emotional disabilities. |
