Buy coffee at 150 coins a piece, takes 3 days to mature, then sells at 298 coins Buy melon at 35 coins a piece, takes 1 day to mature, sells at 92 coins (so I could do 3 in 3 days) Buy flowers at 115 coins a piece, takes 3 days to mature, then sells at 277 coins Buy potatoes at 40 coins a piece, takes 1 day to mature, sells at 99 coins. I'm playing Farmtown on facebook and trying to figure out the best deal for my money, but blow at math.

For the coffee, divide 298 by 150, for the melon, divide (923) by (353), etc. The melons give you a profit 2.6 times what you paid.

You want the product that will give you the most profit, which is the potatoes. If you buy 3 melons that'll cost $105 and you'll make $276. a profit of $171. If you buy 3 potatoes, that'll cost $120 and you'll make $297. A profit of $177. The difference between the melons and potatoes is only $6 but it's still something. You also have to consider the maintenece fees for your garden but I think the potatoes wil be best. She won't get much profit from the coffee. SHe only gets $148 from the coffee. The extra you put in could be used later to bring in a higher profit, so you don't bring home more right now, but ultimately it makes you more to hold onto it.

The coffee costs $150 and you make $148, the potatoes cost $120 and you make $177. How are potatoes not the best deal? Here's what I'm trying to say: the potatoes bring a profit of 177 coins. The melons bring a profit of 171 coins. This means the potatoes give you a higher profit. HOWEVER, you pay 15 coins more for the potatoes, meaning you're paying 15 coins more to make 6 coins more! That is not the best deal for your money. It is wiser to save the 15 coins and make a better profit using them.
