He may have been an outcast due to his appearance to society as a whole, but I think that would happen to anyone who did what he did to his appearance. Lets not mistake however that what he looked like NEVER affected my, and I am sure many others' respect and admiration for his music and how he viewed the world. Secondly, who here is the one questioning someone's emotions and grief other than the OP? I fail to see how anyone could be hypocritical in saying they feel bad the OP for not being impacted the way most of us here were by MJ, when you have no idea how any of us felt before he died. I also do not feel that the allegations against him at one time or his appearance impacted my view of him in regards to his music and how it affected my life. One thing does not go hand in hand with the other, and for many people as well. I never thought he was guilty and always adored him.

But I did cry on 9/11, I cried for all those people who were innocently killed. Now this happened before we were born but have any of you been to the HOLOCAUST museum? Have you just heard any of those stories from the victims of what they went through? I cried for all those innocent people but I didn't know them personally, was that wrong? |
