Let me preface this by saying there's no creature I hate more than spiders. I would rather come face to face with an alligator than a spider.
So when
I noticed a little spider had taken up residence next to my front door, I wasn't happy. However, he was small and seemed content to stay there, so I
didn't kill him.
Over the course of the last month, the spider's been growing by the day, and now he's not such a little spider at all. I was starting to become terrified to walk through my door, even though he never seemed interested at all in moving. Today I was even going to offer my friend $10 to come "move" him for me (I don't have a broom).
Well, I just came home 5 minutes ago and noticed the spider wasn't in his usual spot. This, of course, freaked my freak. I looked all over and couldn't find him, until I realized that he was ON MY FREAKIN DOOR!!!!!
I was like, "Oh HELL no, now he's made an aggressive move into my territory. Now I
don't have to feel bad killing him....but omg how do I kill him?" I was outside and had no way of getting in without risking him getting inside.
Well, luck was on my side, because I noticed that my new phone book had been delivered today and was outside my door. I grabbed that book and CHUCKED it at the spider and I GOT HIM!!!
It's so nice to have my front door back.
Of course I still feel like I have bugs crawling all over me right now.
