I was driving to WalMart when my sis called me to tell me the news which her friend had texted her. I was so shocked and distracted, i almost got hit by a car.
When i eventually got home, my mom and sister had been in tears and my sister's old Thriller LP was blaring while CNN was on.
My heart is so sad. I was a teenager in the 80's, grew up watching MJ in the 70's with the Jacksons till he went solo first with Off The Wall. I had every cassette tape, LP, and eventually cds. His physical appearance changed over the years but the music still mattered. The molestation charges were difficult to hear and they still are now but i still loved him as the MJ of my youth and just focused on the brilliance of his music. RIP MJ.

Sheryl Crow was just on CNN right now talking about Michael Jackson. I had no idea she was once his backup singer. They showed a clip of Sheryl Crow and
Michael Jackson performing together on stage in the 80s.

I am deeply saddened. I grew up listening to his music and he was a major influence on me as a child. He will forever be missed. I don't want to dwell on
what his past few years has been like or what trouble he was in, I want to remember a great icon that changed the dance and music world!! He was taken so
unexpectedly and he was so young. RIP MJ!! We love you!!!
