Oh no the cameras were there long before today. I drove past Forest Lawn on Saturday and they were already there. I just can't imagine how the family is
coping with this madness. They can't even say goodbye to their son, brother and father in peace.

I love that picture, Jameka. I heard "Music and Me" for the first time the other day....so beautiful. I really hope the Jackson family was able to bury him in private and peace. Give them that. |

I cried a day after his death and haven't cried since. All I did was see his casket just now and I started crying all over again.
I still can't
believe a celebrity death is affecting me so much. I think it's finally really settling in like "damn this is it".

^ I agree. I cried the night he passed and started tearing up as I sit and watch MTV. He was a HUGE part of my childhood and to have to say goodbye it.. hurts.
He is the only celebrity death that is hurting me this bad.

I think this is the first time a celebrity death has affected me this much.
I thought Heath was a good actor, and I was sad he died... but Michael had such an impact on my life... in obvious and subtle ways... Even when I enjoyed the Backstreet Boys dancing with hats when I was a 13 y/o teeny bopper, that was all from MJ. He had such a big heart - I aspire to be as kind as giving as him. |

After watching the memorial I came straight to this board. I knew people here would share my joy and my sarrow. That's what I loved about Brooke's and
Marlon's speeches. They were obviously upset to lose their friend/brother, but they also reveled in the good times that made him so special.

Wikipedia says Don't Stop Till You Get Enough was released in July 1979...I would assume the video came soon after.
It also says Ghosts was premiered at the Cannes Film Festival in 96 but released in 97. |
