His treatment was so wrong:

I can't get it to load, unfortunately, but it's a shortened version of the 60 Minutes interview a few years ago.

God, people are so freaking cruel!
I'm just glad he's free from all this madness - no one deserves the treatment he has suffered for so long - no
one.

what makes me sad is that we, as in fans and just people in general, didn't come to his defense with everything. People treated him like shit and I'm
not just talking about the molestation stuff. The media treated him like shit when he has done so many positive things for people everywhere. I mean the whole
idea behind neverland ranch was ducking amazig.
It broke my heart when in the Take Two Bashir was saying so many kind things, saying how wonderful mike is with kids and how awesome and magical neverland is. And then when it aired it was a totally different story. It's funny because the oriinal airing of that documentary was what convinced me that mj wasn't a pedophile, when obviously bashirs intention were to convince the opposite. I was like 16 when it aired and I remember just bawling when mj talked about how fucked up the world is and how kids just need affection and parents are providing it, because that was my life, my childhood. My parents were always so busy with work and their own hobbies, and they are just not affectionate people. It really really touched me when he got so emotional about, because he was right. Can you imagine doing all of these wonderful things for people everywhere and then being called whacko jacko, a freak, and a pedophile. |

It had a traumatic effect on him, that's for sure; and that's the thing, only fans or people that are willing to know about Michael's past or the
reasoning for his actions will understand him - everyone else just listens to the media and immediately ridiculed this man who only wanted to bring happiness
and joy to children around the world.
His heart was definitely in the right place; he tended to trust others around him too easily and some people that he trusted screwed him over royally - that's why now it kind of upsets me that so many people turned their back on him before and now they're all speaking as if they were best friends with Michael. Even now, some people are still so naive to believe that he's a pedophile....but if they only took the time to hear Michael speak, to hear his background, to hear his love of helping others, maybe it would open their minds? I'm so happy he's at peace now, I really am, because he endured enough during his lifetime; the only thing that runs through my mind now is the big question: "WHAT IF?"

I do think a lot of people tried to defend him, I know people in my law class (high school) tried to act like I was crazy because we addressed his case. I
think only to a certain point does the media reflect what the general public thinks though. The media definitely slanted the most recent case so negatively of
Michael, people who spoke against it were treated badly, and those who weren't true fans were highly inclined to call him a pedophile. Then it was like,
well what can I do?

I was looking for shirts on Cafe Press the other night and saw one that read: "THE FREAK IS DEAD" I reported it. (as I would for anyone like that.
That's just sick) People can be so heartless and vile.

When are these tribute magazines coming out? I live in Canada and I went to the newstands and went looking for the TIME magazine or Newsweek and could not find
anything. Sometimes they have different versions of the covers, they have like a Canadian version. I hope we get these Michael Jackson tributes up here.
Argh!

Their entire family speaks the same way. They're all so soft spoken. And, if you weren't looking, you may not always know which one of them is
speaking. Sometimes they sound the same.
I have to hunker down and watch some of these. |
