lol i looked it up in a couple of places and i find nothing about them forcing or pressuring ppl to pay to goto their services. you are probably talking of
some offshoot that does it. with that out of the way. again i ask. how many poor ppl are in scientology?

Scientology is definitely a religion. It's one of the more fucked up ones, but still, definitely a religion. They make people pay, so what? No different
from the other arbitrary rituals in other religions. It's all BS anyway.

McKennaWasBanned wrote: That's not what I meant, I was trying to say that it is bs to make a generalization like that. I am sure that many southern Baptists don't feel the pressure to donate large sums of money, except maybe at "bellevue Baptist". That is not a typical Baptist thing to pressure people into giving money. |

JS2424 wrote:The Southern Baptist convention does not have strict control over its member churches. There's a great deal of autonomy within each church, and views on how to interpret the Bible, use money, and design worship vary widely. The convention has 10 major position statements that define Southern Baptist thought, and none of them deal with money. It's difficult to define a typical Southern Baptist church... because every member church is so different. I grew up in a Southern Baptist mega-church, and money was not a defining feature of the church experience. People (obviously) gave, as evidenced by the beautiful campuses, the amazing church services, and the number of missions that this church supported, but there were also a lot of people who had very little who were leaders in the church ranks. |

ITA with the OP. I mean, hello?? Christians think a dude came back to life and turned bread into fish or whatever. It's preposterous! Every religion is
literally unbelievable. No one religion is better or worse than the others. They're all a crock.

simply do research and you will know how religions arent cults. in differing them there is a fine line btwn the 2. but there is still a line there. a
separation many choose not to see
