Despite mediocre reviews, Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen took home an estimated $16 million in midnight screenings earlier today, according to The Hollywood Reporter. This makes it the highest grossing Wednesday midnight release ever, and third-largest midnight opening in film history, just behind Star Wars - Episode III: Revenge of the Sith ($16.5 million) and The Dark Knight ($18.5 million). How much do you think it will earn this weekend? We're thinking somewhere around $75 million, at least! |
