So far, two confirmed dead with several critically injured taken to hospitals. Both trains have now been cleared of passengers.

The last I heard, two people are confirmed dead and 40 + injured.
Very sad. Hopefully it won't get any worse.

Yeah. I was freaking out for a bit because about half of my extended family commutes into DC for work on that line. My mom is currently stuck in DC since they
stopped outgoing MARC trains too.

I live on that line and use it almost daily for work... Not in that area and luckily today I biked rather than using the train, but it's so insane...
Can't believe the pictures and I'm just so glad everyone I know seems to be okay.

it said they were pulling of the Takoma Park station and were headed in the direction of the Fort Totten station. so that's inbound, on the reverse commute
I guess?
