I had the flu once during exams, and I don't think it stated why I wasn't able to attend, I think it was just a scrawled note that I had to pay for

I don't think it normally says. I've only ever gotten one, and all it said was that I wasn't to "come into work for the next 2 days due to
illness".

My daughter is getting a doctor's note today for not showing up this weekend. I'm pretty sure it's up to her whether he says it's for her
tonsils or not. It will, however, play in the future though as I'm thinking those suckers are coming out this summer.

It's confidental. Usually, they have a standard note that they fill out referencing the day, time, allowing absence from school/work, and/or time off
needed.
