My cat loves to walk around the rim of the tub while I take a bath. She's a daredevil..

One of my cats drinks from the drain spout when there is a bowl of water a couple feet away.

My cat likes eating the bubbles from my bubble baths. I'm sure its not very healthy.

most cats just prefer fresh water to the water we put in a bowl for them, that's why they drink from taps and stuff. They also don't really like having
their water close to their food. It's a natural thing for them not to drink water from close to the meat, that they have 'killed'.
most cats are, even though they do not like to be inside water, fascinated by it, that's why they sit and watch us taking baths and stuff. My one has had plenty of slipping accidents, when his paws got wet from trying to catch my toes, when i am in the bath. |

I have tried plastic, metal, glass and chinaware as drinking bowls for my cats, they just did not like to drink from them, but my cats will jump on the table
and drink from my glass (which i am obvioulsy not keen on). It made me read up on it and that's where i found out the thing about them not liking to drink
close to their food.
I now leave their china bowl in random places in the house and they will always drink from it, when they come across it. they also both still drink from my taps. |

Also, if you are feeding your cat wet food (which is the healthiest option for them outside natural meat and fish) then they are getting most of their
hydration from that. So they may not drink a lot.
