I'm thinking of taking one fall semester, but I was wondering what they're like. Was it boring?

It was really fun but I love science.

Yea, in high school. It was kind of interesting until our teacher got pregnant and we had a new sub every week and all we did was watch movies every day. Not
even science-related movies, just whatever movies we felt like bringing in.

I took Astronomy in college. It was really fun. My prof was awesome (and British so his accent was great) and the class was really enjoyable. I think about it
still and remember quite a bit but wish I remembered more.

What was it like, Hamptonic? What did you do? The one I'm thinking of taking is an astronomical observation class.

I took two classes in college, and I liked both of them, but like a previous poster, I also like science. Both the ones I took were basically physics courses.

Yes, I took one my sophomore year. I thought it was really interesting and not difficult at all, and I'm not much of a science person.
There was a lot of things you had to do outside of the classroom, like you had to go to the planetarium, the observatory, and do projects monitoring the sunrise/sunset and movement of constellations. It was a lot of work, but pretty simple and fun. |

I walked into my Astronomy class sophomore year. It was being held in a large auditorium, and there were about 200 students. We take our seat, the professor
walks in, says hello, and then makes an announcement:
"Just a friendly reminder that Astronomy is the study of space and celestial objects. If you want to know more about Capricorns, Leos and your past and future lives, this isn't where you want to be, so go ahead and leave now." Sure enough, about 50 students got up and walked out. |

I took one in college. I think it could have been interesting but my professor was horrible. He was some old man who was waaaay into astronomy, and he
didn't know how to convey it into coherent lectures. He jumped around all over the place and made no sense. We had to attend these out of class field trips
called "star parties." Basically we went up to the random hills of where my college was and looked at stars and stuff through telescopes. Would have
been fun but it was fucking freezing and I was out at night with random ass people I didn't want to be around.

I took one in college and I hated it. My teacher was BORING he spoke in monotone and they kept me in class from 6-10pm and not once did we go outside!
