This furry little monster(saying it loving) just won't stop meowing and she is driving me up the wall. I've had kittens before, but none of the other
ones that I had since a kitten never meowed this much or meowed this long. I've tried everything to get this little monster to shut up. Any suggestions
will be appreciated.

When she meows do you pay attention to her or say anything to her?

You have to wait it out. You can't look at her or respond to her in any way. Some cats will take longer than others. My cat used to have a meowing habit
when I first got her where she liked to wake us up. I basically ignored her. She would come up directly in my face and I acted like I didn't hear her. She
was definitely long winded, but after about a week or so she realized she wasn't getting her way so she stopped.

Kittens do need a lot of attention. But some cats just like to talk a lot!

She could just be doing it for attention. She looks like she has blue eyes in the picture. Do you know if she has any siamese in her? Siamese are quite the
talkers. I have a cat that's part siamese, part tabby and he NEVER shuts up.

Hmm, just keep an eye on her, but you probably just have a talkative kitty.

She said the male cat that she seen around was a tabby cat also. I now tried warm water bottles, but that doesn't seem to help either. |

I treat the meows like you would a baby who cries. Are they hungry? Thirsty? Is their litter clean? Or do they want attention? Most of the time, when my kitty
meows in my face or wakes me up meowing, he's hungry or wants to cuddle.

Maybe you just have a talkative kitty. My cat loves to "talk" to me. There are times when she never shuts up.

If it's her first night with you, she might just be confused and scared.

Yeah, she's probably just a talkative kitty. Mine is overly talkative as well. There are some times where it seems like she'll never shut up.

Maybe she's still adjusting and looking for all the other cats she's used to being around and calling for them. She may just be a bit lonely for them
right now

I've heard that if you put a ticking clock or something in the bed with her, it will remind her of her mom's heartbeat and help calm her down.
But Nancy's right, she might just be missing the 17 other cats she's used to! |

My cat did that when she was a kitten too. She eventually grew out of it.
