I'm not sure where to go. My friend is coming from out of town, so someplace nice and not too expensive. Thanks!

Jules on the Lower east side is yummy. Jane in the West Village is also a good choice.

I love Ellen's Stardust Diner and the Brooklyn Diner in Times Square. Junior's is good, too. Peanut Butter & Co is wondermous and fantastic. I love
the pizza at John's Pizzeria. Maloney & Porcelli was yummy, but a little more expensive.

For Italian: I love Sals in little italy, corner of broome and mott. Really small hole in the wall but delicious!
Chinese: I like cafetasia on east 8th street And then I absolutely LOVE Max Brenners on broadway in union square. I go there like 2 times a month. They just re-did their menu too. Amazing desserts as well. |

Well, I sort of overlooked "nice" and went to "yummy."
I'm a total tourist. I can't help it! |

Well, nice as in a fun atmosphere! I've never been to peanut butter and co, but max brenners is cute, I think. Nothing stuffy, but fun.

Noo! They have a nice sized food menu too now. They just re-did their menu. I'm addicted to their grilled asparagus and creamed spinach crepe.

If you're into Italian, Serafina is pretty good. I think they have fairly normal prices, but what's your price range?

1) Do not go to Junior's for dessert unless you go to the original in Brooklyn
2) Max Brenner's = tourist trap. Try Jacques Torres for some good stuff. 3) Serafina's is 'eh' I always suggest this place on here but every time I take guests from out of town they love it. The Bar Room at The Modern. Chic, but not expensive. You can get fantastic meal (app, entree, dessert, and a glass of wine) for around $50pp. http://www.themodernnyc.com/ |

I think Bianca's wins! How long do you usually have to wait till you get a table?

I'm going on Friday night. I'm going to be there earlier than the rest of the people. Maybe I'll put my name down when I get there so by the time
they arrive we wont have to wait long.
