i couldn't even finish it it was so boring. and i had a very hard time feeling sorry for Chris. he was kind of stupid.

I found it to be a little long and my attention span wasn't handling it but it actually turned out to be a really good movie imo.

I ruined that movie for myself when I read the "real" story behind it. That story was hollywood-ized to the max.

awww, really? i liked this movie! he was so down on his luck at almost every turn, and yet he managed to get by, and then ultimately succeed!

I thought it was a really great movie but one of those I would only watch once because it's kinda long. Wonderful story but soooo heartbreaking.

i thought that movie was so overated. i thought it sucked. i mean i thought they were going to show the whole story about how the guy succeeded. in the movie
all he did was land a job. i was expecting more of a story; i felt shortchanged.

I liked it a lot, and I thought it was really inspiring. But if you read the real story...yeah, they changed a lot and the real guy seemed less likable lol. I

I agree with the OP. I didn't like Will Smith's character at all and ranted about him for weeks to everyone that I spoke about the movie with. I
thought he was incredibly irresponsible so I couldn't pull for him at all.
