I'm not on either parents side to be honest. They've both made mistakes, but Jon being continually photographed in bars with girls was plain stupid for
his kids sake. And I see that he's now getting a custom made motorcyle on that other reality show.

I don't have kids, but I've been around enough little kids to know that "I'm dyyyying of thirst!" does not mean the kid is going to drop
dead at that very second. Also, there is a woman off camera who says to Kate she should get some water before the interview starts. People need to leave that
woman alone. Yeah she's stern, but you'd have to be to not go completely crazy while raising 8 kids. Plus, if she gave in to their every whim, the same
JJBers would be screaming about her spoiling them.

It wasn't bitchy to say she couldn't have water until after the interview but it was pretty fucked up to be like "Oh do we have time to throw a
bottle my way" and then to drink the damn water in front of her. No wonder Mady acts the way she does.

I don't really like Kate, I think she is a screaming crazy shrew...but not giving the kid water is not a crime. I could give my son a gallon of water and in 5 min he could be dyyyinnnng of thirst, especially if I have something to drink. It is just a kid thing and it is the parents job to choose if they get it or not really. People think kids have all these "rights" but as long as no abuse is going on the parental word is law. |

Again, I don't think anyone is saying that she should have given her the water, and no one thinks Mady was going to die waiting, it was taking a sip
herself in front of Mady then putting the bottle away and telling her she had to wait. It was just a bit mean spirited. ANd instead of saying "be
quiet" she could have just said quickly "as soon as this interview is over, I promise I'll get you some." If she's going to be curt and
abrupt with her, then she better know she's teaching her to be the same way. But that's not to say that I don't think that Kate is usually a good
mom.

I don't blame her for not giving her the water (it was obvious that all the other kids would start asking for it too, as they did), but it broke my heart
when Mady was like, "that was SO mean! You drank it right in front of my face!"
She sounded so hurt...even from dramatic Mady, that was sad. The tone seriously sounded like she was about to cry. |
