Good thing to know, I'm not going to see that movie!

It has a happy ending, but it's really sad at first!

Yeah, in the beginning I was like, "Why am I crying already?!"

Awww, but you have to go through the sad part in the beginning because it gives the whole rest of the movie its context. And the rest of the movie has a lot of
fun, happy, laugh-out-loud moments...then it's really sweet/touching in the end! A movie that can make me laugh AND cry is a good movie in my book!

I cried also. Twice. I was not expecting that at all. But it was nice how it would get you to cry and then suddenly have a funny moment. It offset it nicely.

I really don't think it's a kids movie. There is so much that probably went over their heads. Like when his wife

Shayme wrote:WTF at Pixar? Why sell the movie as a kid's movie and then it's a movie they don't understand?!!! I'm getting kind of fed up with these cartoons that aren't kid friendly. I wanted to take my twins to see it, but if there's a lot of content that went over their head I'm not. I'm tired of paying a ridiculous amt of money for movies they can't comprehend. Ugh.

Pixar has been known for awhile now to reach a broader audience other than kids. I like that. It's still kid friendly, but good/smart enough for adults to
appreciate as well. That spoiler wasn't even a major part of the movie.
Don't knock a movie until you see it. |

Shayme wrote:So anyways Shayme, I saw the movie and...I will NEVER underestimate my children's comprehension again. They knew what was going on from beginning to end. Oh, and for the previous poster, I never said the movie was not going to be good so what are you talking about? Pixar has changed a lot since the Toy Story era. I don't need a cartoon to keep my interest and to be adultlike and neither does most of the parents I know. |

My four year old nephew saw it and LOVED it. My boyfriend and I went to see it last night and it was such a wonderful movie! I cried four times!

Just watched it. And it was really fun. Makes you want to go on an adventure because life's pretty short.

Hell nemo was sad, kids lost from his dad...hell mom and siblings die in the first five mins. Up is no different in that format.

I've seen a lot of people say it on various sites. That certain jokes and plots are aimed at adults. That short before it was amazing! I loved that as much as I love Up! |
