Eric Snow called out LeBron for walking off, basically saying that if you want to be this massive star always looking for press attention then you can't
run off from the press when things don't go your way.

I agree with that. You can't be King James and bask in the glory of all the fame and attention and then think you won't get called out when you show
poor sportsmanship.

I agree with that, Calendria. The media make such idiots out of themselves re: Lebron/Kobe.

Well ESPN still hates Kobe so I'm sure they'll give the Magic some props. Plus there's the Shaq vs. Stan thing. There's Phil saying he'd
take Dwight to start a team. There's Dwight vs. Gasol/Bynum. The Magic coverage will definitely come. Plus the media will want to see if the Magic can take
down the second puppet.

Jalen Rose just said he's surprised and disappointed in LeBron, saying you have to be gracious. Jalen said LeBron has to understand that as the leader of
his team, he has the responsibility of congratulating the other team. He also mentioned that the Hawks and Pistons congratulated the Cavs when the Cavs won
those series against them.

I was just about to post that. I agree. LeBron isn't the only one to go down in defeat. The teams his team swept and all the other eliminated teams were
just as disappointed as he was and they shook hands and spoke to the press. He's no different. There's no excuse for his behavior.

Jalen is an ex NBA player. Was also on the Michigan Fab Five team with Chris Webber.

CBS Sports
LeBron James: poor sport
Posted on: May 31, 2009 12:11 am
Score: 153
James blew off the media, bolted out of the locker room, and headed directly for the team bus without speaking to the media. After the game, I didn't see him congratulate many Magic players. I may have missed it but other reporters said they saw the same thing which was witness James behave like a spoiled baby. It's understandable he's frustrated. But this isn't how leaders should act. James' teammates faced the media. Why shouldn't James? Is he too good to do so? It was extremely immature and jerkish behavior. That's how'd you expect some low level punk to behave, James. http://www.cbssports.com/...s/entry/6264363/15317769 |
