I'm going on vacation with my mom and sister to Clearwater, FL. We'll be there Friday - Tuesday. Do I need to get some cash, or should I just use my
debit card for everything? If you think I need cash, how much should I take?

I thought a debit card and cash are really the same thing, and as for how much you should take, wouldn't that depend on how much you could afford to spend?

it's florida. you can use a debit card the same as wherever you live. unless you want a hot dog from a beach stand... you'll be fine.

Yeah, I guess debit and cash are basically the same. I was just wondering if there was any reason for me to take actual cash. I'm trying to think if there
is any reason why I might not be able to use my debit card for something (they only take cash). I know how much I can spend, I was just wondering how much
paper cash I should take or if I should just use debit.

I think it's always a good idea to take some cash when going away.

I usually take about $40 in cash when I go somewhere.

but can you access an atm when there ? or is it a Credit Union type account that you can't. If it's a name brand bank i wouldn't worry. CU i would
take about $40 out

You should always take cash on vacation, I thought that was common sense. How else will you be able to tip anyone at the hotel?

As long as your in the same country Id say just bring a little cash for small things. Dont bring just a debit card to Canada because I did that when I went to
Toronto and they charged me a certain percentage of EVERY thing i charged for a currency exchange fee

PLEASE tell me this isn't a serious question!
You should ALWAYS take some cash with you if you're going on vacation or whatever. |
