Compared to what her hair was, and the character she will be portraying next it's a transformation. Whether you find it to be a HUGE one is trivial. Most
actresses would just wear a wig.

No need to post gross ass Christian Bale.
What was she suppose to do? She already looked like Joan, so all that was left was cutting he hair. I and some others think that this is a big transformation, since Joan's hair is a big part of her, as is Kristen's ( she is know for her messy long locks). It's not big deal, agree to disagree.

To be honest, I like the new look with the bangs pulled back, it looks way better but it's suppose to be a mullet so shes rockin it and not caring which is
what I like about her.

Kristen looks nothing like Joan in the face. Her eyes for one, are smaller and closer set. Joan had huge eyes, that she rimmed in black and let smudge - so they looked even bigger, gave her a racoon look, in a cool rock star way. Looks like that's what Kristen, or make that the makeup people, were
trying to do in some of those candid pics today. But it only has the effect of making Kristen look tired and strung out - it doesn't make her eyes more
intense.
Joan has an Angelina look about the eyes - they are big and intense. Shannon Sossamon, is a dead ringer for Joan. But there's really no need for Kristen to be Joan's identical twin or even fraternal. The haircut is spot on however, and what's really important - the most important, is the acting.
She will knock it out of the park, I'm sure. But to those saying she 'looks like Joan,' you must not know what Joan looked like -- you really only
need to look at pics of Joan to see that's not so.
