You have to download all the files first Whyyaw.

I've found from past experience that people who immediately yell "it's buggy!" are confused about what a bug is or isn't. For instance,
someone claimed a "bug" because they just appear into and out of the car/taxi. That's not a bug. It's how the game works.
As for crashing, I've had zero problems with that OR bugs and I've played for many, many hours. Too many, actually. I think the game is great, and I already much prefer it to Sims 2. No loading screens = awesome. Oh! And for people waiting on mods for the game, they've already figured out how to. So yay for that. |

I don't know anything about hjsplit, but here's the directions I used after downloading from Megaupload. The RELOADED release is legit. His stuff
always is. I got it from forumw.
1. Unrar. (Right click ONE of the rar files and choose extract) 2. Burn or mount the image. (I used Daemon Tools Lite) 3. Install the game. Use the keygen in the /Crack dir on the DVD when prompted for a serial. (To do this, go to My Computer, right click on the virtual drive where it's mounted, and choose Explore. Copy the Crack directory to your desktop) 4. Copy over the cracked content from the /Crack dir on the DVD to "installdir\Game\Bin". 5. Play the game. Be sure to have a firewall prevent the launcher and main game from going online. It was easy enough to do and installed and played without a problem.

I actually tried the Reloaded ones from forumw and I kept getting errors whenever I tried to extract the files once I downloaded all 26. I don't know what
I was doing wrong.
I hope these ones that Blairboy posted are legit and will work for me. |

Was it saying something about a corrupt file? If so, you can usually redownload the part it says is corrupt and try extracting again and it will work fine.

You have to click on the ISO file. That will extract. Then you have to either mount it using Daemon Tools or burn it to a DVD

With the ISO there's three ways you can run it.
1. Burn it onto a 8.5 gig DVD disc. Run it. 2. Load the iso onto a virtual drive. I recommend Daemon Tools - http://www.filehippo.com/download_daemon_tools. Then it will run straight from your pc, but treats it like a disc.
3. Extract the files from the ISO onto your hard drive. WINRAR can extract it. Run Sims3Setup.exe |

OK I downloaded it for MAC and when I went to extract the rar file it says this: Inappropriate IOCTL for device
That's if I enter the pw given for the rar If I dont enter the pw an ISO file appears but when I try to mount it I get an error...help? |

Whyyawanna wrote:Aww. The game is really great though. It's probably worth the wait. And IGN just released a preview of Riverview, the 2nd town that'll be release on launch day, and it looks pretty good. It's got a Stone Henge and a Haunted Mine! There's nothing cool like those at Sunset Valley.

Ok. I am so close yet so far! I got the game downloaded and installed on my computer. I go to play and its telling me to re-enter the registration code.I put
in the same one I used the Keygen thing gave me earlier and it won't take it! I even tried different ones that it generated and still nothing!

Did you replace the TS3.exe from the Game/Bin folder with the cracked one?

No. Which one is the cracked one. Now, I'm confused!

It's in the same Crack folder as the keygen, the TS3.exe file. Copy that and replace it with the one in the Game/Bin folder where you installed the game.

Finally figured it out. But man, is it just me, or do the graphics suck?

I think they're gorgeous! Did you make sure to fix your graphics options? I know with Sims 2 it would sometimes reset to low graphics for some people and
they'd have to bump them back up. Maybe this does that, too? I have a habit of always setting mine before playing any new game, so I'm not sure what
they would have looked like had I not done that.
I had already preordered the game, so I guess I'll find out if there are any differences in the two versions when it arrives. |
