My brother and I both graduated on Saturday. It's funny how it just happened to work out this way. What a great Mother's Day present for my mom.
The
only unfortunate part was that after the main ceremony where the president and keynote speaker spoke, the individual colleges split up and his and mine were at
the same time so my parents didn't get to see us both get our "diplomas". My dad, aunt and uncle stayed at mine, and my mom and cousins went to
my brother's. Mine was way shorter so I got to go home and finish making the food for everyone.
Fantastic day, though! And way tiring...I'm still tired from it.
Now I have this
really weird feeling like "I should be in class right now" and "wow...I'm never going to sit in a classroom as a student again..."
(unless I go back for my Masters, which I don't even want to think of right now!
) Now the hard part: finding a job!!
Couple pics from the day, just for the hell of it. I know I haven't been around much lately but my life's been crazy busy.
Of course, the obligatory cell phone self portrait.
This was probably the point that I was "I'm graduating! I'm graduating! YAYYY!"
Dad found me in the crowd with his awesome zoom.
I felt like I was sitting there for 10 minutes with my hand up, waiting for him to give me the thumbs up
that he got the pic.
I think this is my favorite one from the whole day.
My brother was soooo mad at me for making him do it but the picture turned out fantastic.
My mom is
in love with it, so I think I'm going to blow it up and frame it for her.
