This little boy, his cousin, and another little boy hiked over a mile away from their house to get to our complex and went into the pool area, which was unlocked but not ready for use. Somehow the 3 year old fell in and the boys started screaming for help. My neighbor's daughter, who's a nurse, heard them screaming and ran out to the pool, got him out, and started CPR. It wasn't any help though... he was already dead. It took 2 hours to find where the boys came from... nobody knew! I saw the officers on scene tell the mom her son was dead. It was heartbreaking.

It must have took the baby and kids quite some time to reach your complex unless they carried the baby (?). How did the parents not notice three kids were missing for that length of time?? I don't know, it seem very strange to say the least. Very sad situation.

I dont understand how none of the adults around them didnt notice that they didnt see or hear them for after about ten minutes. If I was out of ear shot or sight for longer than a few minutes, mom would come investigating.

I don't know, it seem very strange to say the least. Very sad situation. It's a very strange and sad situation indeed. I can't fathom how that kid's family could let them run off like that. The whole thing is just so terrible. I wonder what's going to happen to the maintenance people who work at my complex. They left the pool gate unlocked, over the weekend no less, when nobody is working. It wasn't even suppose to open for use until the 25th.

My 4 year old walks a mile everyday to and from the childrens center and the parking lot at my campus..
