I'm a teacher. We are having an event at my school in a couple of weeks. Last week, another teacher on my grade level told me (she didn't ask, she
told me) to call and find someone to speak for a portion of the event. I am not on the committee for this event, but I was really put on the spot in front of
a lot of other teachers. So I called, but I had to leave a message. They didn't get back to me. So at the end of last week, she told me to talk to the
AP who might have connections. I didn't catch her Friday. Yesterday, she really embarrassed me at a grade level meeting. She was asking me if I had
talked to the AP yet, etc. in front of everyone. The way she was asking me made it seem like I was slacker or not doing my job. I was planning to talk to the
AP yesterday on my way out, but she had already left. Today, the teacher interrupted my class in the middle of math. She barged in asking me if I had talked
to the AP yet. I told her that I hadn't had a chance. Then she scoffed off saying she would talk to her. I can't believe her! It is in no way shape
or form my responsibility or duty to find someone to speak for this event. I am not even on the committee!
