I need a part time job and was thinking Starbucks would be my best bet, since I know the one near me is hiring. I was just curious about details such as
starting salary (I know it differs state to state but approx) and how many hours you typically work. Also, simply, do you like it? Any tips/ details would be

I work for a company owned by starbucks..they generally pay $2 above min. wage, plus you get tips which is generally an extra paycheck a month. hours vary
depending on your availability. i work anywhere from 22-32 hrs a week. it's not a bad job,just prepare to be overwhelmed the first few days.

My best friend works there. I know for part-time they have the opportunity for benefits. She makes more than minimum wage, but not by much. They do get tips.
She gets a free drink either before or after each of her shifts and she gets a free pound of coffee every week or every other - can't remember.
She used to like it a lot, but they recently got rid of a bunch of employees so she's overworked on her shifts. |

I used to work there when I was in high school. It was when all the fast food restaurants were paying 5.15 an hour. I was getting 7.48 an hour but like someone
else said they now make 8 dollars an hour. The worst thing about it was I really only worked the weekends and they would schedule me for 5am. Being in high
school that sucked, and it seemed like when i woke up for school were the days to sleep in...lol Its a bit overwhelming learning how to make all the drinks. I
have always told people its just like being a bartender just with coffee. But once you make a drink a couple times it just comes to you very easily.
