She is right, as much as you might not want to accept it. She's not downplaying our role in Afghanistan or the lives that have been lost....you're overreacting. But she is correct when she says we don't have a "proper" military. It is no secret that it is severely under-funded and small. You are right, we don't NEED protection from the US because we don't piss the rest of the world off like they do but they ARE our greatest ally and source of military protection. You can't deny that.

I guess it's because the comments made by those morons on FOXNews RedEye report just last week is still stinging, especially when I'm personally connected to several friends in the military that are currently in Kandahar right now and worked with a few of the men that were killed over there just a few months ago. Go see the video left in Due North and maybe then you will realize why this is just winding me up so much. This thread was also started as a result of that RedEye news report and it is stirring up a lot of Candians right now. And Brianne, I don't need YOU to apologize for me. I can speak for myself!

I understand that you feel your country has been insulted and you obviously love your country. I asked because you mentioned several times that America could just quit getting stuff from Canada. But wouldn't you rather be paid for your goods than not have America buy them? Who cares what some dumb Americans think about Canada.
