I went to a salon called Toni & Guy to get my hair cut today. I had not been to this location before, but I had been to another. The only request I made
was a level 2 stylist, in a 1-4 system.
I arrive at noon, check in with the receptionist, and wait. I waited until 12:20 until the shampooer greeted me. I sat down, and realized the person who was supposed to be cutting my hair was behind me, finishing someone else's cut. She came over, we talked quickly about what I wanted, and then had the woman who had greeted me wash my hair. That took about 10 minutes. I went back to the chair and waited for her to finish cutting the other person's hair for about 15 minutes. I noticed that they were laughing and talking, and later found out they were friends. Finally she starts on me. I explained pretty fully what I wanted, and she went at it. In the middle of my cut, this guy comes in saying that he needs a quick clean up. She says hi to him becuase she had seen him in there before, and they started talking. She goes, "I will cut your hair! Do you mind?". Before I could really say anything, she put him in a robe.
So I waited about 10 minutes while she cut his hair. He left, and she goes to me, "I only did that because I knew how well he would tip!". At this point, I am like
. She finishes, I pretty much look my hair over once
to see that its alright, and pay. The cut was $60, and I tipped her $8.
Now, looking at my hair, I realized that the front is completly uneven. I overall do not like it, and I feel stupid for not saying anything at the salon. However, I just felt like there was nothing I could do, and I didn't realize my cut was as bad as it is. Should I go back into the salon and complain? What would I even say? Honestly I want my money back, but at the same time I feel like they will be like why did you even tip her if you were unhappy?
