Posts: 14996 (03/15/2009 9:09 PM) Reply Quote More Recent Posts Message Friend Block Invite Ignore	Well the regular season is about to start again but this year we have lost some people Pat Burrell who was with this team for almost 10 years has been traded to the Rays, and we lost a few others, like Eaton. I am just sad to not see #5 in the outfield anymore But this happens in every sport they always trade people no matter how many fans love them or not. Anyways, Howard has gotten in shape, he lost 20 pounds this season. He looks good I saw the spring training game today, it was decent, I just can't wait to see UTLEY lol.. Anyways, anyone else psyched for the new season? I want US to get off to a GREAT start for the 09 season. Anyways... as I said last year... LETS GO PHILLIES!!! Did you guys see the full page ad Pat Burrell took out in the Inquirer and Daily News thanking the fans? http://www.thefightins.com/wp-content/images_02_09/meechone/Patthanksthefans.JPG THAT MADE ME CRY. He is a total class act and I'm really gonna miss him on this team. I'm so glad he got to go out as a Champion.

He loved Philly, he loved the fans, no matter what some of them did to him, he still respected them. I am so going to miss #5 in left! I hope we play the Rays and he gets up to bat, I will try to go to one of their games and when Burrell comes up to bat I will stand up and give him the biggest applaud ever. BECAUSE his BIG double is the reason we won the WS last year, if he hadn't got that hit, who knows what would've happen. I thank, Jenkins, Burrell, and Feliz for coming up big in the last game. Anyways he is a class act and I am gonna miss him Him and Jimmy were both with the Phils the longest almost 10 years and just so freaking happy he got a ring before he left Philly Anyways, I want to go to a few games this year if I can, with transportation that will be a isssue though, I am scared to drive to Philly myself

Posts: 15014 (03/17/2009 8:45 PM) Reply Quote More Recent Posts Message Friend Block Invite Ignore	Myers was GREAT today if he keeps that up we will do fine this season.. this is his LINE for the day AND he also got a HIT We remember in the race to the championship, Myers hit off the Dodgers very hot, had 3 hits and 3 RBI's lol.. Brett struck out 7 in 5 -2-3 Innings.. I do not think they leave the reg pitchers in for the whole game during spring training.. He ONLY allowed 4 hits and NO walks and of course NO RUNS! Lidge made his 1st appearance and allowed 1 run...in the 9th.. But yeah I am so proud of MYERS, I do not WANT him to leave philly. Hamels had an inflammation in the elbow I believe and got a shot for it, HOPEFULLY he'll be okay.. but if Myers keeps doing that, he can start opening day again this year, he did last year also. Anyways.. WTG Phillies BTW Jimmy Rollins & is MAKING us proud for the USA team, he has been on a roll, one night he homered, tripled and scored runs... BUT I Am SO HAPPY Pat the BAT Burrell homered OFF of Hamels today.. I hope Hamels does better in reg season then today, he gave up 6 runs!!!! Anyways.. I am just so psyched.. but I am sad.. Burrell isn't with us BUT I now know if Phillies are not in the playoffs and the Rays are.. I will be rooting for the RAYS!! because of BURRELL!!! Anyways.. LETS GO PHILLIES!! Lets start off the season with a WIN tomorrow NIGHT!! Hey btw, they will be showing that special and I still want the dvd, but its called THE PERFECT SEASON (narrated by Brad Lidge... which is perfect.. because HE had a PERFECT SEASON!! Also, its on at 3 pm tomorrow on CW network, and also at 4:30

I think the National League East is going to be close.. if Marlins, Braves, and also Nats, are good... well its gonna be fun.. I actually prefer close race because of the competition and what not, but I don't like when fans get out of hand with other fans teams lol.. Braves got Lowe.. and thats who will be pitching against us tonight, and our ace Myers is going to start the season opener again. People will say Myers isn't an ace.. but when he came back from miner's at the end, he went 7-3, with only give up like 2-3 runs total in 10 games.. ON TOP OF THAT.. Myers got to Sabathia in the playoffs, by making him pitch like 10 pitches to him and then Myers walked, Rollins walked and then the grand slam by Victorino.. Myers has done well for us, and I think he'll do well for us tonight.. Oh and he can HIT to lol... like that game against the Dodgers in post season last year Myers got 3 rbi's and 3 freaking hits, and they were all decent hits also.. lol.. but good luck to your team also.. its gonna be a good season I believe!

(i should say LACK THEREOF ) in any case...i don't expect our boys to start winning til about a week into the season--we should be used to it by now! seriously though, it's going to be another good season, i think. sis and i are going to our first game of the season THIS TUESDAY. it's going to be freezing out but i can't wait!

I am just really sad and stunned. It just won't be the same at CBP anymore or anywhere. He WAS my fave broadcaster. I guess it is effecting me so much because his voice just brings me back to my childhood and now a part of that is gone. He just doesn't feel like Phillies baseball unless he is calling it, this is going to be a lonely summer.
