I think he took the job to get on the inside and try to bring the dollhouse down from the inside but he has to pretend to be the handler and let Echo continue to do missions so he can keep working on the inside and bring the whole dollhouse down. and possibly the chick with the facial scars might be in on it too. I think that she had them do the test this week to let them get closure so they wouldn't just send those dolls to the attic. I think she still wants to get them freed but she doesn't want them to be "sent to the attic" before she can do that.

Now, let's go back to the original equation and add in an episode called "Epitaph One." "Echo" the original pilot plus 12 episodes through "Omega" plus "Epitaph One" brings us to a total of 14 episodes. The 14th episode, "Epitaph One," was produced and paid for by Fox the television studio. It was never ordered, requested or paid for by Fox the television network, and Fox the television network will not be airing "Epitaph One."
