I loved this episode. Loved it. And I had a feeling about Mellie, but was still surprised. And I'm glad that it still surprised me despite my suspicions.

i had a feeling about mellie too but i loved the way it played out. and just to echo everyone else this was definitely the best ep yet. it did remind me a lot
of buffy. even the humor. glad to see the show is now on track. i'm looking forward to the season now.

Mellie being a Doll was obvious, but the way they revealed it was really neat. Best episode yet!

What I don't understand is why they don't just kill Ballard, or even try to? I mean they have the means, and have had some dolls interact with him, and
it would be easy for them to do. Just look at the handler they sent out to kill Mellie, they could have sent out several for Ballard. I thought they wanted to
protect the information? lol...
I know it's for the plot and it would be meaningless to have a character like that otherwise, BUT I mean they seem very protective of the dollhouse info, so to not even try to get rid of Ballard seems a bit strange IMO. Opinions?? Did they say why they're not gonna kill him? In the scene with him and Echo she said something about not them not wanting to kill him...hmm. Other than that, amazing episode! I love the direction the show is taking. |

Jo3y86 wrote:Maybe they feel like that would end up drawing more attention to the organization. The agent who has been obsessed with this Dollhouse thing suddenly turns up missing or murdered? It might be better for the Dollhouse to keep Ballard "on the case" but keep tabs on him and possibly feed him misleading information. |

Do you think that there's really a spy in the Dollhouse trying to help Ballard, or is it all part of the scheme Miss DeWitt has for him?
I'm really on the fence, if it really is another one of the Dolllhouse's plots then why risk it by mentioning that they are several other Dollhouses in major cities around the world. And if there really is a spy trying to help him out, how come Dominic didn't notice it when he reviewed Echo's last assignment. We know there's sound and everything so why wouldn't he hear her telling agent Ballard about the existence of multiple Dollhouses? |

they've already said the person is someone who used to work there. i think he did the profiles before the guy that's on there now. he has the ability
to hack in and alter profiles.

I thought the episode was mediocre until the last 15 minutes. Then I totally flipped my shit.
I had no clue whatsoever about Mellie. I thought Joss was just going to kill her (for some reason, I kept having flashbacks to the pilot for Alias during this episode). Her attack scene was super hard to watch, and then when she killed Peyton's dad, I was just like, "OMG! OMG! OMG!" Now I really want to know who's on the inside. The obvious choice would be the lab chick who used to be on NCIS, but maybe it's DeWitt?! |
