I feel very uncomfortable all of a sudden. can you block someone from following you without them really knowing it?

Dude, that's what I hate about these sites! There's no way to keep "adults" out of your business. And I know my parents are always all,

You should have locked your account. So if someone click the "follow" button you have to confirm them in order for them to follow you. Is your

well it's nothing like that, my mom does worse things than I do! besides, I'm 23, it's not like I would have to hide anything anyway, but her
friends don't need to know my business.
I really don't want to lock my account, but it's just awkward. I was hoping there was a way to block just one person.

There is an option to block someone on their Twitter page (under actions on the right hand side), but I'm not sure if it would alert the person you're
blocking or not.
That's why I just don't tell family about sites that I'm on.

I think they found me by searching breckenridge, because it happened right after I made a tweet about breckenridge. darnit.

They don't get an alert if you block them, but they wont be able to access your page anymore if they should attempt to.
