Yes. I have a fund with money set aside just for this purpose.

I'm still wondering about the washing of the period pads. Do you do a load every day of your flow? Or save them all up somewhere and do them together?

I'm afraid of it. It seems like it could leak/fall out/become lodged in. It doesn't seem sanitary to me, either. I'll stick with regular tampons
& the occasional panty liner or pad backup, thanks.

The DailyUndieFund!
Lisa, my bet is you set them aside, probably, and do one big load, a la cloth diapers. Or, for that matter, a Diaper Genie. |

I have many questions on the cloth pad (since I feel like I am in a time warp in this thread). How do you change your harnessed clothed pad when you are out on
the town or at work? Do you store the used one in your purse until you can get home to launder them? Do you just forego water activities during this time of
the month?

I know I would fuck it up and end up piercing a vital organ or something.

It seems the Diva cup isn't for everybody (it's pretty long). You can find cups in a bunch of sizes and shapes, maybe that's why someone said here
that couldn't get it to stay in place. Here: http://community.livejournal.com/menstrual_cups/1285963.html

I can't help it. Its like when someone starts talking about a horrible limb injury and you feel YOUR limb ache. Fainting aside, the website boasts of this: co-opted toilet paper from a public washroom as a temporary measure
All of those could still happen with the cup! |

All of those could happen without it, too.

Well, mystery object in that they don't know what it is. Most guys can recognize a tampon or a pad!

jenhavins wrote:First they are not harnessed. They are just like pads with wings only they have snaps. I wear tampons If I'm going to be out or swimming. On the question of if I wash out the washing machine no I don't. It's the same as if you get blood in you panties. It's really not a big deal. Every time you change one you rinse it out and stick it in a bucket with cold water and borax. Then after you have a few you run a small load. They don't have a smell if you take care of them properly. The only thing is they stain but it's your period it's not cute. |
