I have never heard of such a thing. Really? Because women have been using them for pretty much all of recorded history up until the late 19th century. I'm curious about the Diva cup...I don't see how it's any grosser than using a tampon. I mean, you have to stick your fingers up there either way. And I'm guessing it takes about as long to rinse out a little cup as it would to chuck a tampon into a bin.

I'm so prone to infection and am so sensitive to synthetic material that I feel like I'd swell up and die. But hey, good for you if you like them and have had success with them!

It does take a few cycles to get the hang of it - but it makes my period so much shorter and I cramp less. Plus it doesn't dry your insides out or smell AT ALL. I have never been in a situation where I've needed to empty it in public. If you have any questions, I'll be glad to talk with you about it. You can PM me if you don't want the world to know.

And some woman bleed heavier than others. After my csection they forgot to scrap out the placenta and it was like someone stabbed me in the crotch. It was pouring out of me. I can see some poor girl who bleeds like that every month trying to use one of those without making an embarrassing mess.

I just couldn't bring myself to use it. I have a love/hate relationship with my period anyway, so I am not one to bring new tools into the fold. It's all about Extra Strength Tylenol, Imodium, Pepto, and tampons. I look forward to the day that I never have to use a tampon again.

My vag was NOT happy after all that time I spent just trying to get it to go up. And also, my bestfriends all had a look of absolute horror while I was excitedly telling them about it and how awesome the cup would be if I could just get it up I think I'm done with it, tampons it is.
