What if it gets "full" when you're not at home? Do you yank it out and rinse it in the sink at work? WTF??? I'm sure they work but I'm
not going to reuse that. You don't rinse a condom and reuse it. "My beloved condom has lasted me for 7 years!"

I've been wanting to use it for years but I feel my periods have gotten heavier since I heard about em. Definiteeeeeely don't want any accidents on
that thing
I love all the rave reviews it gets. Maybe one day... |

What if it moves around and spills?

I think I may dry heave while taking it out and rinsing it.

I always wondered if those things stretch you out.

I will write an update after I use it
! My roommate told me it may take a few tries before I really like it and that I should stick it out! I don't
know if I'd have tried it without first questioning her thoroughly. And while it was kinda pricey, it wasn't that much money, so if I hate it I can go
back to my trusted standby!
It actually sounds pretty ideal for people with "heavy flows". It sounds like it can hold a lot more than a tampon...I'm actually banking on that being the case. |

Wow, I'm surprised at the negativity in this thread, lol. I use one and i Loooove it. I willl admit, I have one heavy day in which I have to empty the darn
thing every 4 hours but that's my only complaint.
It's definitely made my periods a little bit more bearable. It sounds gross, but it's just as gross as changing a pad or taking out a tampon. Best of all, it keeps less pads/tampons in the landfill

Is it easy to tell when you need to empty it? That's one thing I'm uncertain about...

I've been using the cup for years so I just know when I have to empty it. On the first day, I empty it every 4 hours, second day every 8 hours, third day, every 16 hours... fourth and fifth days are super light so I empty it once at the end of the day. You should really try it! It takes a little getting used to but once you have it down, you'll love it:) |

I bleed through super tampons in less than an hour, there is no way I could use it.
I wish though... tampons are super expensive. (tmi I guess) |

I kinda want to try this! I usually get my period on the weekends, so I might try it then. I'd be way too afraid to wear it at work; I just KNOW I'd
find some way to spill it.

I've been wanting to try the Instead ones, because I read somewhere that you could have sex while it's in and it sits in your cervix or something,
whereas the Diva cup, you obviously wouldn't be able to since it sits so low

I was reading a few reviews and this caught my attention:
"BONUSES: - The Diva Cup is NON-ABSORBANT, which means that it won't soak up your natural secretions and dry out your vagina on light days. - You only have to buy ONE. With tampons and pads, you have to buy an expensive box each month and flush that money down the toilet. - It covers ALL flows: light, medium, heavy, and flood. Even when I had a super heavy period, I only had to empty the cup the cup 3 times during the day. - You can put it in the night before you think you'll get your period and not have to worry about leaks or Toxic Shock Syndrome." This sounds interesting because my biggest problem with tampons are how it feels while inserting them. It's too dry, so I keep using pads. Maybe I should try this one. |

I bought one, but I lost it when I moved. I really recommend it though. It took me a couple cycles to get used to inserting and removing it properly, but I
never had any accidents or messes (and I am the clumsiest person ever).
