okay, backstory:
i'm a waitress. a couple of weeks ago, i waited on a table of women. they really took a liking to me, and asked me about my life and what i'm going to school for. i said "i'm pre-textiles and clothing" and one of them told me she is the neighbor of the CEO to a major company in young girl fashions. she asked for my name and info to pass it along to him because she was so impressed by me.
i never heard anything and chalked it up to being another case of a guest talking out of her butt. oh, how wrong i was! today i got an e-mail from the head of human resources at that company telling me my name had been given to the big wigs and they'd like to arrange for an interview!!!!!!!!
the only problem is, the woman told the people at the company i am at a certain university, of which i am not yet enrolled. i will be starting there in the fall. right now i am at a community college finishing my associates of arts, and when i transfer i will be in the textiles and clothing program. i'm not sure how to explain to the people she got it wrong, and i'm also not sure if they will brush me off because of it. PLUS, i have zero history in the field, so i have no idea what to put on a resume. i've been a waitress for a couple of years, and that just isn't too relevant to the field.
advice? thoughts? comments? really, anything is appreciated! i'm freaking out!
