Predictable as in the good films won? Because that would be the point of these award shows...

Does Sean Penn have kids? Did he thank them? I loved him in the movie--he definitely deserved the win--but every speech is about "a message" with
him. You know Mickey would've been in tears thanking his dead dog, you KNOW IT. Can't Penn just get a *little* bit emotional and thank his wife and
kids for their support? Living with him day in and day out can't be easy, and warrants a mention, lol.

The Oscars haven't been this good in years. I actually didn't change the channel for once.

They did a really great job with them this year. I think they may actually be in contention for an Emmy this year!

I hope they get Hugh Jackman to host again next year. Whomever directed/put together this year's show needs to come back next year as well.

They did a good job this year. I really liked them having past winners present to the nominees. It was touching. Hugh did a good job, I wish they would have
shown more of him. He kinda disappeared after the musical number.

dude, all of those movies that they previewed look AWESOME! I really want to see Sherlock Holmes. I didn't even know they were making a movie but just that
like 4 second clip of it made me want to see it.
Whoever was in charge of creating this Oscars, dude, he is going to get a huge raise. haha This Oscars was amazing! I loved everything about it. and I like the fact that they embraced the fact that they were going to go over time and just owned it and didn't try to rush through any of it. and it still didn't feel long at all. Even after 4 hours they left me wanting more. That's the first time in years that that has happened. I am so pumped now. oh and does anyone else really want to see Castle? Nathan Fillion is so ridiculously good looking! GAH! |

I think they should keep the way they had past winners talking about current nominees.
And remember when they decided to do that stupid thing where they would have all the nominees on stage & would announce the winner right there? |

I don't really feel like Slumdog swept the awards. Its actors weren't even nominated...it was more the overall movie and its production. Usually the
same movie wins all those awards, too, or at least it seems that way.
