She is one of those people who thinks she is God of Teaching and thinks anyone who does anything different from her is incorrect and must be a shitty teacher.
And the stuff she lectures me about is the stupidest shit ever. Like, I use a term called observational thesis in my class. I define the term, show examples,
and explain exactly what I mean. She bitched at me because she said that "my students have no idea what that is"
Mind you she has never, ever been in my classroom and has no idea what goes on in there. The term she uses is notation thesis. Which, basically means the exact same thing as observational and she defines it as such, but for some reason notation to her is the AWESOME PERFECT way to put it and any other term is "confusing and wrong" **pulls out hair**
And I always try to avoid having office hours with her, but then magically somehow it works out so we are running into each other all the time. I had several student meetings today and she literally sat at the desk outside my office "grading" when I KNOW she was listening in. WHO DOES THAT??
And I am not claiming to be perfect in any way, but seriously, out of 48 students this semester she has 24 left in less than a month. 50% of her students dropped her class. A few have complained. I don't think a single teacher in our entire department has that drop rate or even close to it. Something tells me that is not a sign of her being The Perfect Teacher!!!!
Ok, I feel better now. Plus, only about two more months and I will never see her again in my entire life.
(On another note, I am having tons of fun teaching this semester-it is my last semester here and I just wanted to have a fun, laid back semester and most of my students are awesome!)
