half a million dollars to the Australian bushfire appeal!!!

Michael Buble donated $50,000 of his own money, which is extraordinary considering some of our biggest companies have been donating $100,000

If anyone has anything to spare to the victims, please do http://www.redcross.org.au or for the animals http://www.rspcavic.org.au/

Ellen made a telecast, as did Rachel Griffiths, Naomi Watts, Rob Lowe, KD Lang, etc and Orlando Bloom was actually in the phone room taking calls!

AMAZING, just amazing. I haven't stopped crying for the last few hours.

It was so windy there that the fire just raced through people were trapped in their homes. People who tried leaving in their cars got to the end of their driveway before they were engulfed in flames. The roads had debris from fallen trees so people just couldn't get out the fire was too fast.

That is just awful. Don't they think that some of the fires were started by arsonists? I can't fathom who does something like that.

Some were started by arsonists, others weren't.

It was 47.6 degrees celsius on the day with gale forced winds in an area that has been suffering drought for at least 10 years. it didn't need much

Some of the fires were travelling at 120 plus kilometres per hour. People just had no chance to escape the front.

I love that Buble donated and donated so much. That is awesome considering he isn't even Australian. Love.

It's such a horrifying thing to happen. This has to be the biggest tradegy that Australia has suffered! But watching the live footage of that little koala sitting on the ground and letting that fireman pet her and drinking water from that bottle just broke my heart. I was amazed that was even so grateful and obviously scared that she even allowed him to pet her. Apparently she drank 3 bottles of water!
